The Medical School and the Cyprus Psychiatry Association (CPA) held a joint event on September 3 in memory of Dr Neofytos Papaneofytou, a member of the School’s academic community who served the public health sector of Cyprus in the field of Adult and Child Psychiatry for decades.   Professor Paul Kymissis, founding Chair of the School’s Psychiatry Department, delivered a lecture titled ‘New Approaches in the Aetiology of the Medical Illnesses’.  Before the lecture, the president of the CPA and director of the Cyprus Mental Health Services, Dr Yiannis Kalakoutas talked about the life and achievements of the late Dr Papaneofytou.
