It has been a busy term for everyone but our events could not have succeeded without students’ participation!
Back in January, a dance class with our very own Stella Loizou took place and students and staff had the chance to dance along to Latin vibes.
In February, we organised two rock-climbing sessions together with the Wellness Club. Students had the opportunity to mingle during an interesting activity.
On Wednesday 26 April, we organized a blood donation and charity bake sale day at the Medical School. We would like to thank everyone who volunteered to donate blood, and all students, staff and faculty members who contributed to a good cause by supporting our bake sale. The total amount raised was 186 Euros, which will be donated to the Bank of Cyprus Oncology Centre.
On Wednesday May 10, the Medical School celebrated the White Coat Ceremony for MBBS T-year students at the UNic Open Amphitheatre. The annual ceremony marks the progression of medical students from science to clinical years. We would like to thank everyone who helped organise the event and supported it with their presence. Lastly, we would like to take this opportunity to wish our T-year students who will soon be off to local or international hospitals the best of luck!
And so as not to forget about fitness as we are approaching the summer months, on Sunday 21 May we also hosted a basketball tournament together with Scalpels Basketball Club. Congratulations to the winning team (Iosif Karalis. Nikolas Popa & Phivos Koulaidis) and 3-point shooting winner Nabih Berjaoui!
