MBBS T-year student Joshua Wesfield gave a presentation at the 3rd Conference on Pre-Hospital and Emergency Care Management that took place on March 1-3, 2017, in Nicosia with participants from Cyprus, Greece, UK and Australia.
The conference included presentations, posters and clinical workshops on various aspects of pre-hospital and emergency care. Some of the clinical workshops included practical training on the management of mass casualties, chest trauma, management of airway access, management of patients in panic, etc. As a member of the organising scientific committee of the conference, I trusted Josh and gave him the opportunity to share his experiences in emergency crisis in Israel, and how this country organised and trained volunteers in how to respond to emergency cases.
