On Saturday, 20 January, the School’s Mobile Clinic in collaboration with the Tseri Multipurpose Senior Service Centre and the Tseri Community Volunteerism Council, organised the activity entitled ‘Healthy Morning.’ The event was planned for the citizens of Tseri Municipality, and more specifically the elderly.

The event began with a presentation and a Q&A session on ‘Positive Psychology,’ delivered by Assistant Professor of Health Psychology and Clinical Communication, Dr Theano Kalavana.

Subsequently, medical students under the guidance of Associate Professor of Pathology Dr Dimitrios Kanakis took the BP and glucose measurements of more than 25 senior citizens.

The event concluded with a healthy Cypriot breakfast, including olives, halloumi cheese and anari, offered to all attendees and volunteers by the Tseri Multipurpose Senior Service Centre.

Director of Communications George Sycallides and Communications Officer Argyris Evangelou were also there to help with the communication between patients and the international student volunteers.
