On September 22 2017, at the meeting of the Academic Council of the Odessa National Medical University (ONMedU) in Ukraine, Professor Sir Sabaratnam Arulkumaran was ceremoniously awarded the degree of Honorary Doctor of the University.
By the decision of the Academic Council of ONMedU, the title of Honorary Doctor of the University was conferred on Professor Arulkumaran for his scientific contribution and services to women’s health globally, and specifically for his collaboration with the Association of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of Ukraine. The ceremony was presided over by the Rector of ONMedU, Professor Valerii Zaporozhan, who is also the President of the Ukraine Association of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
