This morning six medical student volunteers visited The Falcon School, a private English-speaking High School in Nicosia, and delivered a presentation on sex education to 80 students between 16 and 18 years old. The presentation emphasised protection, sexually transmitted diseases and consent. It was well received by the teenagers who had the opportunity to interact with the presenters by playing a condom game and by answering quiz questions throughout the presentation. The medical students were escorted by Dr Ourania Kolokotroni, George Sycallides and Argyris Evangelou.

This was the last in a series of high school presentations for this academic year. Overall, throughout this academic year, over 530 teenagers have benefited from the presentations delivered by the medical students. Topics have included health issues such as sex, smoking and healthy eating.

Congratulations to all involved.
