The University of Nicosia Medical School and the University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center have signed a clinical training agreement allowing students from the St George’s, University of London medical programme at the Medical School to undertake their final two years of clinical training at this US hospital. This opportunity is available to students of all nationalities, subject to their ability to secure a visa.

We are delighted to be working with UM Baltimore Washington Medical Center, which is a long established regional hospital located in Glen Burnie, between Baltimore, Maryland and Washington, D.C. and close to Annapolis, Maryland’s capital city. It is one of the largest medical centres in the region, comprising approximately 300 beds, 2,200 employees and 700 physicians, and offering a wide range of inpatient and outpatient health care services.

In addition to clinical education for medical students, UM Baltimore Washington Medical Center provides educational, research and professional development for residents and fellows for several of University of Maryland Medical System residency and fellowship programmes, covering a wide range of specialties.

Students from the Medical School will begin core rotations at UM Baltimore Washington Medical Center in late July 2018.
