With the contribution of students, staff and faculty the amount raised was €300, which was donated to the Bank of Cyprus Oncology Centre.

In order to promote awareness of prostate cancer and to raise funds for the Movember Foundation and the Cyprus Association of Cancer Patients and Friends, a number of events and activities were held during the month of November 2018.  These included: a coffee sale (sponsored by Costa coffee), a bake sale, a Greek dance class, a Medical seminar in association with the Movember Foundation Cyprus, a Mobile Clinic expedition to Larnaca, a basketball tournament, an aerial Yoga class, and a sweet-jar competition.. A total of €510 was collected: €400 was donated to the Movember Foundation and another €110 to the Cyprus Association of Cancer Patients and Friends.

Last November the Student Services Centre launched an initiative to raise funds to support a clinic in Burundi with a lecture entitled ’Principles of Tropical Medicine: The Burundi case‘, presented by Professor of Tropical Medicine, Reverend Archimandrite Anastasios Poyiadjis.. Other activities which have taken place for the same cause have included placing donation boxes around campus, and a Coffee and Christmas Ornaments sale.. More activities to support the clinic in Burundi will be organised until May 2019.

Students had the opportunity to participate in an indoor rock-climbing session on 29 January, while on 6 February students danced to Hip Hop rhythms at Euphoria Gym.
