October 2019

The University of Nicosia has recently initiated the operation of a University Primary Care Centre under the umbrella of the Cyprus General Healthcare System.

The aim of the Centre is to provide you, the University community and your families, with high quality primary care. The Centre’s modern and well-equipped facilities are located on campus at the Research and Technology Building, 8 Markou Drakou Street, 2409 Engomi.

To take advantage of UNIC’s new service you will need to select one of the Personal Doctors of the Centre (www.med.unic.ac.cy/upcc/) and register through the General Healthcare System’s website (www.gesy.org.cy).

For Cyprus passport holders
From 1 October 2019, you can change your Family Doctor, if you wish, and select one of the Personal Doctors of the University Primary Care Centre.

For EU/UK passport holders
You will find all the information on how to register with the Cyprus General Healthcare System HERE.

For Non EU/Non UK passport holders
Although the Cyprus General Healthcare System does not cover third-country nationals, you can still make an appointment with any of the Centre’s Personal Doctors for a reduced/student price ranging between 20 and 30 euros depending on the nature of the visit. You can then submit a claim for your visit to your health insurer.
