The University of Nicosia Medical School is participating in the project ‘Curriculum Development using VR technology to enhance empathetic communication skills in future health care professionals’ (EmpathyInHealth) which is funded by the Erasmus+ programme (KA203 Strategic Partnerships for higher education). The main aim of EmpathyInHealth is to develop a curriculum for empathetic skills development in healthcare practitioners and home carers based on up to date evidence and cutting-edge technology tools. The partners have written scenarios that have been developed into VR videos, educational videos and will be used for role play.

On April 5-7 2022, the 1st Learning Activity of the project took place in Athens. The Master Tutors were trained on the use of the training materials (curriculum, tutor guides, VR scenarios etc) developed by the project to support health care professionals to enhance their empathetic communication skills.

Subsequently, on April 8, 2022, the project partners met to discuss the project’s progress and decide on the next steps to be taken.

Stay tuned for more.
