What our Students, Colleagues and Alumni Say

The University of Nicosia Medical School admits students from all around the world. Studying in such an environment allows me to communicate and work with people from many different cultural backgrounds, this significantly increases human understanding, removes stereotypes and provides greater insight for cultural awareness, vital in our future roles as doctors.

Mats Israelsson, Class of 2025 , Sweden

Choosing where to go for medical school can greatly impact your career aspirations and path in medicine… The academic and personal support I received was limitless. Whenever I showed enthusiasm, the administration worked to facilitate achieving my aspirations. Especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, where the Career’s Office worked hand-in-hand with me and I successfully matched in the US in Internal Medicine. While at the same time, securing an F1 position in the UK!

Dr Alaa Diab, Inter. Med. Residency, Baltimore Medical Centre, Maryland, US

One of the things that I particularly like about the Medical School is the opportunities we have to contribute to the society by volunteering through the Mobile Clinic. The Mobile Clinic expeditions, which are very popular among the medical students, take place twice a month in rural/remote areas and offer free diagnostic tests.

Eva Sonja Bender, Class of 2028, Switzerland

I stay in one of the modern student residences of the University of Nicosia and I enjoy it very much. I like the fact that under one roof there are so many students from different countries and diverse cultural backgrounds. In addition, the residences are conveniently located on campus and within a walking distance from the Medical School, cafes, shops and restaurants.

Lorin Kasten, Class of 2028, Austria/Germany
