The University of Nicosia Medical School, in collaboration with the Henry Ford Hospital, Michigan, USA, is coorganising the ‘Symposium on Sexual Health Topics’, which will take place on Saturday, 17 December 2022, between 09:00 – 17:00, at the UNESCO Amphitheatre.
Key stakeholders of the Health Care sector, medical practitioners, medical faculty, and students are invited to join the event, which will cover topics on Sexual Health, such as the history and screening of STIs, epidemiology of HIV, Syphilis, Gonorrhea and Chlamydia in Cyprus, diagnosis, screening and management of HIV, Pre- and Post-Exposure Prophylaxis, HIV and Syphilis Community Testing perform by community-led organisations, epidemiology, clinical manifestations, treatment and prevention of Monkeypox, and a closing roundtable discussion.
The Symposium will also be available via live-streaming for people interested to join remotely. People interested in attending must register latest by Monday, 12 December 2022, indicating the preferred mode of attendance (physical or online). For those who will be present at the UNESCO Amphitheatre, located at University’s Main Campus, Coffee and lunch will be offered.

The relevant health and safety measures applying at the time of the event will be implemented and everyone attending the UNIC Facilities is required to follow these guidelines to access the indoor facilities.
