Summary
Dr Dimitrios Matamis will present the Transcranial Doppler (TCD) ultrasonography, which provides non-invasive real-time measurement of blood flow characteristics and cerebrovascular hemodynamics within the basal arteries of the brain. It is the most convenient way to monitor vascular changes in response to interventions during acute cerebrovascular events at the bedside. Given the convenience of this tool, as a diagnostic modality, its use in clinical and research applications for the management of the many disorders of the cerebral vessels will continue to increase.
