Visiting Associate Professor
Anne Merewood is a Visiting Associate Professor at the University of Nicosia Medical School.
Dr Merewood earned a BSc and an MA in English Literature from Cambridge University, UK and then obtained an MPH from Boston University, USA and a PhD from the School of Medicine of Cambridge University, UK.
Dr Merewood’s primary research interests have been the promotion of health equity in maternal child health, with a particular emphasis on breastfeeding and the Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative. She has worked primarily with populations of American Indians, African Americans in Mississippi, and refugees in Greece.
