Joseph Moutiris

Clinical Professor


Joseph Moutiris is Clinical Professor at the University of Nicosia Medical School.

Prof Moutiris holds an MD in General Medicine from the Medical University of Cluj Napoca, a Diploma in Cardiology from the Imperial College London, an MSc in Cardiology from the University of London, and a PhD in Medical Sciences from the Medical Academy of Warsaw.

His research covers the areas of epidemiology and prevention of coronary artery disease, atherosclerosis, oxygen free radicals, myocardial ischaemic and pharmacological preconditioning and myocardial reperfusion injury.
