Julia Hynes is Assistant Professor of Medical Ethics at the University of Nicosia Medical School.
She was awarded a BA Joint Honours in Scholastic Philosophy and Irish in 2002, an MA in Irish and Celtic Studies in 2004, a Ph.D. in Philosophy (Ethics in Medicine and Education) in 2008 at The Queen’s University of Belfast, and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Healthcare and Biomedical Education at St George’s, University of London in 2015.
Her research interests include the professional and moral development of the student within modern medical curricula, prudence and clinical decision-making, and the place of resilience and moral courage in the character of the medical student and qualified doctor.
