Since the inauguration of the Mobile Clinic in 2013, student volunteers have participated in the annual fundraising Christmas fiesta organised by the Cyprus Anti-Cancer Society. This year’s event was no exception and was held with great success at the Electricity Authority of Cyprus Head Offices in Nicosia on Saturday, 7 December.
Sixteen medical student volunteers were present in two shifts between 10:30am and 6:00pm to test Fiesta visitors’ blood pressure under the guidance of Dr Chris Michael, Clinical Assistant Professor and Personal Doctor at the University Primary Care Centre.
Several faculty and staff of the Medical School also volunteered and helped with translation, as and when required: Dr Chloe Antoniou, Dr Panagiota Andreou, Ms Heike Streng-Georgiou and Ms Eliana Christoforou.
