Faculty of the University of Nicosia Medical school along with faculty from the five largest universities in Cyprus have established an Inter-University Research group with the name “COVID-19 INTERACT”. The research group developed is currently conducting a study that aims to investigate the knowledge and misconceptions of university students on the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
All students on conventional programmes have been invited to complete an online questionnaire. On completion of the questionnaire students get feedback on their answers based on current up to date valid information on the new pandemic. In this way, the study aims to enhance the students’ knowledge on this new infection and help reduce its spread and impact on the Cyprus community.
The Faculty that participate in the Inter -University research group are:

- University of Cyprus: Dr Nikolaos Dietis, Dr George Nikolopoulos, Dr Irene Christakis
- Cyprus University of Technology: Dr Nicols Middleton and Dr Demetris Tsaltas
- European University Cyprus: Dr Constantinos Tsioutis and Dr Ioannis Mamais
- Frederick University: Dr Maria Pantelides and Dr Panayiotis Theodosis
