Elpida Mina

Profile

Elpida Mina is a consultant Rheumatologist and a Clinical Associate at the University of Nicosia Medical School.

Dr Mina obtained her medical degree from Ovidius Medical University of Constanta in Romania and continued her studies in Sweden, specialising in Rheumatology and subspecialising in Paediatric Rheumatology. She is currently working at the American Medical Centre in Nicosia as a consultant Rheumatologist and Paediatric Rheumatologist. She is also a part time staff member of the University Hospital of Lund in Sweden. Her research interests are in Familial Mediterranean Fever (FMF), and periodic fevers, and she has been involved in relevant research in collaboration with the Paediatric Rheumatology International Trials Organisation (PRINTO) as the director of the national coordinating centre.
