Ioannis Tzanavaros is a Clinical Professor at the University of Nicosia Medical School.
Dr Tzanavaros holds a Medical Degree (MD) from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens Medical School. He is a cardiac surgeon and board certified congenital and paediatric cardiac surgeon. His Doctorate Thesis was completed in Charité-Medical University Berlin.
His areas of interest cover all the range of congenital heart disease and especially minimally invasive congenital heart surgery.
