Profile

Meropi Toumba is a consultant in Pediatrics and Pediatric Endocrinology and a Clinical Associate Professor of Paediatrics at the University of Nicosia Medical School.

Dr Toumba received her MD and her specialization in Pediatrics from the Medical School of Aristotelion University in Thessaloniki, Greece. Dr Toumba was awarded with the ESPE Clinical Fellowship and trained in Pediatric Endocrinology at the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children and the University Colleague of London Hospital in London, UK.

Dr Toumba worked as a research fellow at the Institute of Child Health, London, UK. She is a member of the European network for congenital imprinting disorders and has participated in the development of international consensus guidelines for the Silver-Russell Syndrome. Dr Toumba is a scientific associate at The Institute of Neurology & Genetics, Nicosia, Cyprus participating in research projects with her main interest in puberty, obesity and adrenal disorders.

As a clinician Dr Toumba has worked both in General Paediatrics and Paediatric Endocrinology and she is the Silver-Russell clinical specialist for Mediterranean and Balkan countries.
