Niki Panteli is an Academic Associate at the University of Nicosia Medical School and Professor of Information Systems at Royal Holloway University of London, School Management, UK.

Dr Panteli has a PhD in Industrial and Business Studies from Warwick Business School (1996); a Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies from Warwick University (1991) and a BBA Degree from Cyprus (1990).

Her main research interests lie in the area of digital transformations, virtual teams, online collaborations, online health communities and use of IT in healthcare. She has been a consultant and evaluator on the use of collaborative health care technologies and online health platforms that aim to reduce social isolation and improve patients’ quality of life. She led and participated in several research Information Systems projects in healthcare and other sectors and her work has appeared in numerous top-ranked academic journals. She served as the Chair of the IFIP- International Federation of Information Processing- W.G. 9.5 on Virtuality & Society (2006-09) and holds editorial positions in several Information Systems related journals.
