Photos Hajigeorgiou is a Professor of Chemistry and the Associate Head of the Department of Basic and Clinical Sciences at the University of Nicosia Medical School.
Prof Hajigeorgiou holds a BSc (Honours) in Chemistry, a PhD in Chemistry (Chemical Physics and Molecular Spectroscopy) from Dalhousie University, Halifax, Canada, and a PGCertHE from the University of Hertfordshire, UK. He also completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Chemistry at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada, and a research associateship in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Waterloo, Waterloo, Canada.
His research interests include molecular physics, laser-induced fluorescence spectroscopy, computational chemistry, human nutrition and health, environmental chemistry, and medical education.
