The Medical School’s Winter Party for faculty and staff took place on January 11, 2019 at the Royal Hall in Nicosia. It was an evening full of food, drinks, music, dancing and gifts! It was an opportunity for all of us to get together and enjoy ourselves, outside lecture rooms, PBL rooms and offices. The Executive Dean, Professor Andreas Charalambous, noted in his welcome that 2018 had been a very fruitful year for the Medical School and that 2019 will only be a better one. To plan the party, an “ad hoc” Winter Party Organising Committee was formed which set a challenging goal from the very first meeting, which was to have a gift for everyone attending the party. Our collaborators and friends of the Medical School all responded with generosity so we were able to collect over 100 gifts, one for each person present.

The surprise of the evening came from the performance of two sopranos who entertained the gathering with popular songs from the international and Greek repertoire.     The night ended on the dance floor which lasted for a few hours.
